Chivas has launched a limited edition design of its iconic Chivas 18 bottle in collaboration with K-pop superstar Lisa of BLACKPINK. LISA was announced as the whisky brand’s newest ambassador back in March as part of the brand’s “I Rise, We Rise” campaign, aiming to promote the whisky to a younger market of consumers. Now, LISA and Chivas have released an exclusive drop of the brand’s Chivas 18, which made its debut in 1997 – the same year that LISA was born.
The K-pop sensation co-designed the bottle, reimagining its classic design with splashes of bold blue and hot pink, complete with LISA’s signature in a neon font. The bottle also features a detachable 18-karat gold plated logo charm for fans to keep, with the brand’s unique logo redesigned in collaboration with LISA’s trademark star on the outer box.
Alongside the limited-edition bottle, Chivas has released a specially-tailored cocktail recipe, dubbed “Pink Spice”, created in partnership with the musician. Blending notes of tea, citrus and spice, the new cocktail takes cues from LISA’s Asian heritage.
“I had so much fun working with the team at Chivas on this limited edition bottle,” said LISA. “The bottle is typical LISA – bright, bold, and unique – and I’m so excited for everyone to finally see it. It is amazing to now have my own bottle – and a cocktail too!”
“As we continue to elevate Chivas for a new generation, it is important that we collaborate with people who represent this new generation of whisky drinkers.”Chivas Global Marketing Director, Nick Blacknell.
Nick adds that. “Our partnership with LISA resonates with people across several passion points – whether that’s fashion or music – and brings a convention-breaking, contemporary cool to the world of Scotch whisky.
It was a natural next step in our collaboration with LISA to add her flair to one of our most prestigious blends, bringing to life the bold attitude that both Chivas and LISA share. With this limited edition launch, we are offering fans a taste of the creativity and innovation behind the partnership, and we look forward to seeing how people react to it.”
