Mayfair Gets Ready to Welcome Mr Fogg’s Apothecary

Opening on the 9th June, Mayfair, London, Mr Fogg’s Apothecary will play home to an adventurous collection of curative tonics, restorative remedies and compounded libations from around the world.

Located on Brook Street opposite the iconic Claridge’s hotel, the elegant new Victorian Apothecary will transport guests into Phileas Fogg’s wonderfully eccentric world.

A voyage of potions and elixirs

Follow a majestic grand staircase leading down to an impressive long bar, stocked to the rafters with his extensive apothecary collection. Here, Mr Fogg’s Apothecary team will prescribe, formulate, measure out and dispense the perfect cocktail serves, with precise weighing scales at hand.

Mr Fogg’s Apothecary invites you to taste a collection of unique curative tonics.

This new Mayfair cocktail bar showcases the vast array of potions and elixirs collected by Mr Fogg on his epic voyage around the world. Composed of plants, powders, saps and antivenoms from all ends of the earth, The Apothecary unveils a truly miraculous multitude of tinctures, tonics and remedies used by Mr Fogg for every ailment imaginable.

Reminiscent of a magnificent Victorian Mayfair townhouse, The Apothecary Room is beautifully designed with old grandfather clocks, upholstered furniture and curiosities from around the world – a wonderfully comfortable space for guests to settle in for the evening. Portraits of Fogg’s most trusted scientists, botanists and pharmacists adorn the walls, alongside his vast collection of wooden apothecary cabinets.

With its own separate entrance, exclusive private bar and three large booths, The Elixir Room provides the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of the busy surrounding streets. Here, you can hide away and sample some of Mr Fogg’s most restorative tipples.

Mr Fogg’s Apothecary Elixir Room

This cosy backroom houses 24 Hennessy cabinets, each with a unique key lock for Fogg’s most esteemed regulars to deposit their own personal bottles of spirits. Available for private parties of up to 50 guests, The Elixir Room also offers secret access to the adjoining main room, through an unassuming door built into the cabinet wall.

A tour of world flavourings

The cocktail menu is just as theatrical, with serves including The Traveller’s Tonic (Hennessy X.O. Cognac, Woodford Reserve Rye whiskey, Carpano Antica Formula vermouth, Grand Marnier & Mr Fogg’s Apothecary bitters) and the Rose Remedy (Secret Garden Apothecary Rose gin, Lillet Blanc, Apothecary shrub, rose water, lime juice & egg white).

Fogg’s is one of the best themed cocktail bars in London, taking you back to the Victorian era with their fantastic drinks and atmosphere. Mr Fogg’s Apothecary,  now joins two other establishments in Mayfair dedicated to the central protagonist and traveller in the famous Jules Verne novel Around The World In 80 Days.

This new opening aims to go one step further, recreating the various elixirs and potions that Fogg collected on his 80 day expedition. These are made from plants, powders, saps and antivenoms from all ends of the earth, these are tonics and remedies Fogg swears by for every ailment imaginable and he couldn’t be more excited to share these with trusted friends and explorers.
