Discover a stunning world of matchday rituals and atmosphere captured on film by Ukrainian sports photographer Serge Shcherbyna

Developing The Moment exhibition showcases film photos taken by Ukrainian sports photographer Serge Shcherbyna – exploring matchday routine, rituals and atmosphere around European football.

Serge Shcherbyna deliberately brings only one roll of film to every match.

This type of restriction has taught him self-discipline, as each shot taken is carefully thought through. It’s almost contradictory to the genre of football photography, but living in a world so saturated with visual content, the restriction felt almost necessary.

STUNNER

Serge Shcherbyna (1994, Ukraine) is a sports film photographer and entrepreneur.

With his partner Polina Vynohradova, they run Stunner – the successful football venture that formerly had hubs in Kyiv and Manchester.

Stunner has received wide international media acclaim, including features in Le Parisien, BBC, 11Freunde & NSS Sports.

Exhibition curated by Polina Vynohradova.

The exhibition will be on from August 7th to August 24th and takes place at Aviva Studios, Water St, Manchester, M3 4JQ
